Chemical Engineering Ph.D. Candidate at UC Berkeley

A Bit About Me

I graduated from Caltech (’18 BS in Chemical Engineering with a minor in CS) and am currently a Ph.D. Candidate in the Balsara lab at UC Berkeley.

My research focuses on applying hard X-ray microtomography to study various battery systems.

Outside of lab I enjoy snowboarding, bouldering, and frisbee.

Projects

Quantifying the reduction in impurities in lithium metal films deposited by evaporation

Detecting lithiation and lithium plating in graphite anodes in 3D during fast charging

Characterizing the morphology of electrodeposited lithium protrustions in a block copolymer electrolyte
